Laughter is the Best Medicine: Book Review of Jack Hinson’s “Laughter Was God’s Idea: Stories About Healing Humor”

I didn’t expect the absolute wonderful way this book was written! The objective of this book was to convince the reader to let loose a bit and laugh some more. It gave the pros and cons of dealing with tense and difficult situations with humour, using both bible quotes and scientific evidence to back up the amazing side effects of laughing. Not only that, there was a delightful and pleasant structure to the cutely parceled and packaged short stories…The jokes and laughter brought a smile to my face, and the stories were sweet…     – Mawa Mahima

It is believed that humor is one of God’s greatest gifts to humanity. It was His intention from the beginning to provide us with a mechanism to address the tension of existence. He knew His children, living under pressure in a world of demands and deadlines, would need a way to release, so He created something called laughter. Laughter reduces muscle tension, exercises our lungs, and strengthens our immune system. Laughter is still the best medicine.
Readers of Jack Hinson’s work Laughter Was God’s Idea will gain insight and courage to accept the gift of laughter as a means to enjoy life and make the world a better place. Through excessive doses of laughter every day, and by sharing this extraordinary gift with others, it is Hinson’s intention to bring to light the healing power of humor.

Genre: Biblical Interpretation, Commentary, Current Events, Environment/Conservation

In his book, Adam Soul renders a compelling interpretation to the riddle of 666 that is based on science, the Bible, and common knowledge that the people of Earth have today. Soul shows how the answer is not about an antichrist, but is rather an ancient message sent to give mankind one last chance to survive the future. From this ancient message, Soul develops a simple 18-step plan for survival that he calls “The Vision of Backwards Bound.” Soul’s interpretation is not satanic in any way, but in the third part of his book, Adam Soul does make a plea to the religious realms to see the wisdom of the message in the riddle and to change accordingly. The verse begins with the words “Here is wisdom.”

Discover for yourself the wisdom of the riddle and the road to life for the future of all mankind…

Man’s Dilemma, God’s Solution…

Book Hub Inc. presents Lampman Press’s “One Christian’s Perspective of Man’s Dilemma God’s Solution” by Steve Lampman.

Many people today would list many different things as being man’s dilemma—such things as health problems, unemployment, poverty, crime, war, and so on. Each, of course, is a problem found in every society, excluding none. One could say man’s dilemma is universal and they would be correct.  However, each of the things listed above are actually the result of man’s dilemma, not the cause. The cause is found in man’s depravity. In that depravity, every un-regenerated human being sets his own standard as to his or her conduct of life. Man has rejected the absolute standard of his creator and as a result is alienated toward not only God, but from one another. Man has no solution for this and therein lays the dilemma. God, on the other hand, has the solution; it is found in His provision, the Lord Jesus Christ.  In the pages of this work the author considers man’s dilemma God’s solution from eleven different perspectives. Each chapter is a study in itself but fits nicely as one completed work.
